5 Replace the skewers. Place a piece of tape under each dot. Fold the tape over to secure the skewers. 6 For the tail, cut strips from the plastic bag and tie together to make one strip 2’-3’ long. Tie the tail to the bottom of the vertical skewer. 7 8 9 Flip the kite over to the front. Cut a small hole in the plastic where the skewers cross. Cut a piece of thread 7-8” long and feed the ends through the hole on the front of the kite. Leave a 1”-2” loop on the front of your kite (you may want to secure the loop with a piece of tape so you don’t pull it through). Flip the kite over to the back. Wrap both pieces of thread around the middle of the two skewers a few times. Tie the pieces together in a knot. Flip the kite over to the front. Find your loop. Using the spool of thread, feed the end through your loop and make a few knots. Trim the excess thread. You are now ready for flight! 61
