LEARN TO SKATE: OFF-ICE BASICS (BASIC 1 -PRE FREESKATE) Learn to Skate: Off-Ice Basics is designed for skaters in Basic 1 through Pre Freeskate, separated by age. It serves as an introduction to off-ice figure skating training. Skaters will interact with coaches and other students while using household items to learn and practice their skating skills. Classes will be taught via Zoom with a link emailed out before the start date and recordings of the sessions email to all participants afterwards. The goal of this class is to keep all skaters' skills sharp while they're away from the ice. Skaters will increase their strength by learning and practicing new jumps and spins and increase flexibility to finally get that spiral heel stretch or bielmann. Skaters will learn something new each week as coaches use strength, flexibility, spins and jumps trainings. Classes will be taught via Zoom with a link emailed out before the start date and recordings of the sessions email to all participants afterwards.
