Hopes & Dreams Did You Know? As a salesperson, you wear multiple hats. Did you ever consider actor as one of them? Has it ever seemed that customers are more willing to speak to you when you’re busy with another task? Well realistically, that’s not just your imagination. It’s true, customers are often more open to your help when they do not feel threatened or like you may just pounce on them. So use this to your benefit. Independence Day is right around the corner and it is the perfect time to appreciate your American right to achieving your American dream. American dreams will look different for everyone. It is your job, as a salesperson, to probe and figure out what your customer’s American dream looks like. After all, step 4 of your Freedom Selling Steps is all about probing to determine your customer’s hopes and dreams. Use their answers to make your customer’s American dream come true. Also keep in mind, this is a time of year when folks spend a lot of time outside. But a day out in the heat can be draining and your customer needs your perfect merchandise to kick back, relax, and recuperate from the scorching temperatures this summer.
