ARCA to deliver keynote
speech at the EAF
conference
The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association
(ARCA) will be supporting this years’ European
Asbestos Forum (EAF) Foundation conference
by delivering the keynote speech.
Steve Sadley, Chief Executive of ARCA, will
discuss the role of a trade association in the as-
bestos removal industry, covering points such
as, developing tools for the industry; providing
the best support to assist members in good
practices and end-clients in the safe manage-
ment of asbestos, which all drive continual
improvement and professionalism throughout
the industry.
The EAF Foundation was formed in 2014 to
focus on improving professional networks and
exchanging the best and newest of knowl-
edge regarding all matters related to asbestos,
across borders and sectors – as every country
in the world has asbestos problems.
The Asbestos Removal Contractors Association
(ARCA) is the leading trade association in the
field of asbestos management services.
ARCA, was formed on July 1st 1980, to support
the asbestos removal contractors in the UK.
Over 35 years in operation the Association has
seen many changes in working procedures and
legislation, and a significant increase in mem-
bership.
ARCA is committed to providing the best sup-
port, representation, advice and training, so
offering a unique range of benefits and support
services to members.
Membership has grown considerably from the
original four founder members, with members
in all regions of the UK - North East, North
West, Midlands, South West and Wales, South
East, East Anglia, Scotland - and also in the
Republic of Ireland.
ARCA use various methods to communicate to
and with members, including regional meetings
held regularly throughout the year. This allows
local members to play more of an active role
in the Association and enable their views to be
heard by the ARCA Governing Council. We also
publish the ARCA News magazine four times a
year.
The Association has gained credibility with HSE,
Government, local authorities, and all those
concerned with safety in the occupational han-
dling and removal of asbestos materials.

this difficult and hazardous industry, and rec-
ognised for their professionalism and quality
