First, age is just a
number. Cliché as it
is, you’re never too
young or too old
to do what you’ve
always wanted.
Second is that one
must muster the
courage to take the
first step. You’ll never
know what would’ve
happened if you never
tried in the first place.
I’ve put on over 100 retreats,
ministered to over 5,000 youth,
and have fallen deeper in love
with both writing and mission
work. I currently plan to combine
these so that any profits I make
from book sales count towards a
future mission trip to Africa. I am
even in the works of editing and
publishing my third novel.
Over the years, I’ve learned
many things about following
one’s dreams.
Third is that the hardest part
is sticking to it and following
through to the very end.
Perseverance is key. Keep
going. Don’t quit.
Fourth is that one may fail, but
there is so much to gain from
failure. It’s an opportunity to
get back up, brush the dirt off,
and try again from a different
perspective. Obstacles are a
part of life. Failure is imminent
and unavoidable. Embrace it
as an opportunity to learn and
grow. If you desire something
enough, and you work as hard
as you possibly can, even if
things don’t work out the way
you wanted or expected, you
can never truly fail. You learned
and grew through the process.
Always remember: it’s the
journey, not the destination.
