Now do a bit of journaling,
noticing any truths that may be
arising from this exercise. Write
down any insights you have as
to what purpose these items
fulfilled when you acquired them.
Perhaps they did nothing more
than make you feel better at the
time. Notice if you are afraid to
release the items because you
might need them in the future
or because you feel you may be
dishonoring someone in your
past (or present) if you don’t
hang on to them. Be grateful
to the items for their service,
whatever it may have been. As
soon as these items are out of
your house you will feel a definite
release of energy that is now
free to return to you in the form
of unfulfilled potential, perhaps
in the form of an invitation, an
opportunity, a new contact, or
some other unexpected resource.
Acknowledging your thoughts
about the items releases the
internal energy that is now free
to return in the form of truths
that relate to what you need in
the present moment. The new
internal energy comes in the form
of feeling and of knowing, thus
an ability to discern what objects/
opportunities to allow anew into
your life.
One final note in regard to that
fourth pile, the universe does
not discriminate. Releasing is
releasing. I find many people
are “attached” to wanting
to help specific people out.
However, there is something to
be said for attending to your
own life first. If it takes double
the time contemplating to
whom items should go, not to
mention having to deliver them,
I would suggest it is best to
just let them go and trust the
universe will put these items
in front of someone who will
be most served by them. The
most important thing is that you
get your reallocation of energy
back to you ASAP. This way you
will be able to really make a
difference in the lives of others
because you will be living more
aligned with your purpose.
Everything needed to fulfill
your purpose (and this is true
for everyone) is available in the
universe and will come to you if
your energy is freed up enough
for it to be able to do so.
