Devils come in all shapes and sizes, but lets talk about the "Big Guy". He has provided great careers for Flip Wilson in his persona as Geraldine, Dana Carvey as The Church Lady, and also phenomenal motivator for redemption to men of God all through history. This includes all the heavy hitters of the Old Testament, not to mention Elmer Gantry and butt-loads of Televangelists that time and gigabytes will not allow. Oh I am sorry, pardon the pun...the Devil made me do it.
The notion of “The Devil” provides a great service. He definitely is the favorite front runner of mortals when they choose to abdicate their responsibility for their actions, choices and addictions.
Now just because The Devil is a Dude doesn't mean that the ladies are off the hook, nor do they get a free pass. In fact when a man is tempted and succumbs, and is taken in by that "Wicked Succubus of Satan", she then gets star billing.
