After I had been reading on various radio shows, I discovered one fascinating thing. Reader’s tended to pull the same cards for a caller if the message was very important for the caller. Hence, Project Tarot and the U-Predict radio show were born. Project Tarot is an on-going experiment to prove the Jungian idea of synchronicity. On the weekly U-Predict radio show, experienced tarot readers gather and read a series of reading for a given topic. One week we asked the question “What is evil?” The following is the blog that came about because of that show. With the topic of the “Devil” for this Attune magazine, I though readers would find it fascinating.
Despite how we are represented in media, most Tarot readers live a very spiritual life. Some pursue spirituality to explain their gift; others are very spiritual which causes them to discover their gift. Most of us have a deep faith because of what we do. So when members of the Tarot Guild look at events in the news and let out a collective “why?” it deserves some attention. So we decided to look at the whole concept of evil on U-Predict.
We started with a broad definition of evil: “evil is commonly associated with conscious and deliberate wrongdoing, discrimination designed to harm others, humiliation of people designed to diminish their psychological well-being and dignity, destructiveness, motives of causing pain or suffering for selfish or malicious intentions, and acts of unnecessary or indiscriminate violence.” So with that definition ReeNee asked the first question:
