OFF THE MENU If buffets are not your style , the full menu is offered for breakfast , lunch , and dinner . Dinner selections on Saturday night include steaks , prime rib , barbeque ribs , chicken , and a variety of seafood entrees . All dinners include the soup and salad bar and your choice of hash browns , American fries , French fries , mashed potatoes with gravy , or baked potato .
Saturday night is a great time to visit Breitbach ’ s if you enjoy a perfectly seasoned thick cut of Prime Rib . All beef served is from Iowa Premium Beef and comes from a 200- mile radius of local beef farmers . Breitbach Country Dining ’ s home style cooking has led them to receive a prestigious award . Mike , Cindy , two of their children , and two of their employees flew to New York to receive the “ American Classics ” award , given by the James Beard Foundation , on May 4 , 2009 .
A full sandwich menu is available for both lunch and dinner each day . Enjoy a hand-pattied burger or chicken sandwich . For a true dining delight , order Breitbach ’ s hand battered pork tenderloin sandwich , which earned the “ 2012 Best Pork Tenderloin ” award from the Iowa Pork Producers Association . Fries , including the waffle cut sweet potato fries ( which are a local favorite ), or their famous soup can be added to any sandwich . Mike and Cindy want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy their meal . They do their very best to accommodate all dietary restrictions and special accommodations .
Breitbach ’ s homemade pie selections vary day to day . Orders can be placed on pies to take home and enjoy later . Diners can also choose from quite a few dessert ice cream

The bar inside Breitbach ’ s welcomes everyone to join in a conversation , share a story , and enjoy a beverage . Breitbach ’ s glycol system keeps all their tap beer ice cold . Enjoy a large selection of bottled domestic and specialty brews , along with wine , liquor , non-alcoholic selections , and soft drinks . Take your beverages outside in the warmer months and enjoy the “ Breitbach ’ s Bier Garden ” or sit along the porch that wraps around the building .
Breitbach ’ s has three dining rooms as well as an Event Room that can seat up to 150 people . The perfect place for any special occasion , Lynn Davis would love to hear from you and give you more information on how Breitbach ’ s can become part of your memories and traditions .
Mike says , “ Breitbach ’ s is not just a restaurant , it is a family gathering .” He has seen five generations of families come through the restaurant and he looks forward to shaking their hands , catching up on old times , and serving them the same home style cooked meals that have been their hallmark for over 150 years .
