MAKE UP THE FLUSHED

BLUSH t ’ s easy to forget the effect of such a simple staple as blusher when the Summer sun comes around , but why not give it a go ? Be it blusher in peachy golds or petal pinks apply it high on the cheekbones , sweeping back toward the temples or why not try a soft bronzer to contour the cheekbones for a sun-kissed look without the sunburn !
SHADES OF RED
We all love a good lipstick , especially in Winter , yet now Summer is reclaiming the classic red as everyones colour of choice be it opaque , matte or glossy finishes . Colours range from ruby to burgundy and coral , semi-transparent stains for longer lasting colour and a light gloss for evenings out .
DETAILED LINES
The classic black flick is refreshed , so if you ’ re looking for something a bit different why not try double parallel lines on the outer corners or blue and white lines on the lower lash for an alternative look . Go thick or thin , its up to you !
EYE CATCHING EFFECTS
All attention is on the eyes , so for a beach to bar look , try strong eyeshadow pigments and multicoloured glitter to create strong impact , while a pared back look may include iridescent golds and blues to saturate the eyelids for a more relaxed look . Want to go all out festival vibes ? Try allover glitter , painted across the eyelids up to the brows . There ’ s no limit thisnsummer , less is definitely NOT more !

HAIR

Whether its a wrapped pony or back to flat-ironed locks , hair is where its at .
For festival friendly looks why not try windswept and wispy , left loose or tied up , hairstyles have asofter look , with wispy , flyaway strands falling around the head . Pieces of hair are pulled out around the ears and on top of the head for a windswept appearance and low maintenance needs .
Alternatively for a more sport luxe vibe try a wrapped ponytail , with hair wrapped to hide the bands used to hold the pony . Ponytails can also be bound with black bands from root to tip and positioned on the side of the head for an all out there sporty look .

NAILS

For a more sophisticated and polished look , try the poker-straight and perfectly sleek flat ironed style . Long hair looks glossy and healthy , best paired with a centre-parting for a laidback , effortless feel . Otherwise if long hair is not your thing , try natural tones of sandy blonde , honey and caramel to aadd depth to a pixie cut for a multi-tonal effect . Darker , grown-out roots contrast against lightblondehair and goldenblonde ends for a sun-kissed textured look .
Low maintenance , quick dry yet chic and stylish are the order of the day for this Summers nail art . Why spend hours perfecting the nail when purposely messy designs , with quick and easy application and lack of strict rules , are the go to look . Smudges , uneven lines , chips and residue are all options . Simply apply a colour to the entire nail , wait for it to dry and then remove everything but the line around the cuticle . For smudges , create a three-tone nail by using a third colour and a cocktail stick to smudge two colours when wet , or place glitter over the tips of a nude manicure .
Feeling vintage ? 1970s-inspired burnt oranges and citric yellows add a retro feel to nails this season . Finishes range from glossy to metallic , with glitter-infused polishes a firm favourite . For colour , go as light or dark as you so wish , but ensure that even reddish hues maintain an orange undertone .
High-shine , gel-effect nails that don ’ t require UV light to set are steadily emerging as a great alternative to a professional manicure . Barry M ’ s new Sunset collection features seven colours ranging from pillar-box red to aubergine that when paired with the specially formulated topcoat bonds to the nail like a gel but can easily be
