There are many discussions on what was the main influence on the rise of menswear ; whether it is celebrity culture , a man ’ s ego or street culture ? However no one has come to a conclusion , I believe . there are an infinite number of possibilities from our changing society to one person ’ s individuality . Maybe it is just because it is cool to be different now
The idea of different street cultures is intriguing , from one culture comes urban , hip-hop and skate subcultures ; the concept of making something out of nothing . It teaches you , you don ’ t have to be rich to create something . Big names like Jay Z , Snoop Dogg , Pharrell and Kanye West all have clothing ranges or are currently working with brands like Uniqlo . It seems men ’ s fashion has changed with society leaving the need for class and tailoring behind and moving into branded reality .
