// B Can you introduce your work to us ?
N \\ I move frequently within the fashion scene , working for a few commercial brands so as a result I ’ m often working along side a brief . Which means that my work has to be versatile and adaptable . I also wanna show that I put a lot of effort into work . I ’ m trying to achieve bridging the void between fine art and fashion . I want to give an accurate representation of the clothes , not some airy fairy work ; barely anyone actually appreciates it . I want to be more of a fashion artist than an illustrator , to represent the clothing in such a unique way . I don ’ t like potentness ; I like to show a certain level of
// B I find that myself , so much work is applause due to the name behind the brush ! not for the strokes them selves . Kind of like photography , no offence to anyone …
N \\ Exactly , the age old photographers had dedication the process of photography nowadays is too fast and overpaid . I ’ m moving into fine art with fashion , I want to be that guy who bridges the gap , who brings the skill and detail and technique to fashion illustration .
// B What has been you favourite piece of work over the years ?
N \\ My first editorial , the melancholic series which I did for individualism . which incorporated a mix of photography and illustration . As it was the first one , It will always be personal to me .
// B You ’ re a little baby
N \\ Yeah ! It was so nice as I had a lot of time to focus compared to now which is more fragmented because of much more work which comes my way . // B So how did you get your work out there , or if you ’ d like how did you first get noticed ?
N \\ I got noticed by my blog : individualism which had such great links with industry to fashion week , press days , shows .
// B I suppose the fashion world is quite small
N \\ Yeah , the menswear scene is close knit , so you become much more familiar with each other , its like a little family !
// B Over the years what has become your favourite method ? Or which one do you feel most at ease with ?
N \\ It has to be my pencil ! Me and my pencil go way back , we ’ ve grown up together !
// B Where do you see yourself going ?
N \\ I want to be a creative director , I wanna get there . I once received advice from a creative director who got to do some really amazing stuff like hire out submarines and dancers , all that freedom now thats the stuff I love ! Its so exciting !
— however its not my end goal .
// B I can never personally seeing myself stuck in one job I want to be constantly moving and experience all what I can !
N \\ Exactly … What else I want to do something with the east ,
