Rock out this summer

HOW ’ S HARRY

Where did you all start with music ?
Tom : I started playing classic guitar at primary school , which was fun at the time however the more experience I got from playing the guitar I ended up buying myself an electric guitar . Rupert : There was competition when we all met at school because I also played guitar so both Tom and I were guitarist . I got a guitar as a christmas present one year and I only tried playing in the mirror for ages pretending to be a rock star but when I was 13 I had a go at learning it . Loz : I play the drums however I used to be a dancer . At school I done ballet , I was such an energetic person that my mum sent me dancing to town down . I then taught myself to play the drums as a hobbie and really enjoyed it so i became a drummer . Ike : When I was younger I was playing the piano usually jazz or jazz base and really enjoyed singing . Ive sang for most of my life but just changed the instruments I play along the way and now Im writing songs with the rest of the boys .
Where was your first Big Gig ?
Rupert : Tunbridge Wells Forum was our first big gig and I was only 16 and the boys were 15 Tom : We preformed in front of about 150 people , it was amazing at the time we loved the fact all our friends were there and they started to take us seriously . Ike : At that point everyone knew we were serious about becoming a real band ; I mean we wasn ’ t great in fact when we watch it back now its laughable but we was all young . Loz : We have grown so much together since that gig in 2012 , I see that now as just a load of fun , being sweaty and thinking we was amazing !
Who would you say your biggest Inspirations would be ?
Rupert : Mine would be Classic / Indie so the likes of Kings of Leon , Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood . Loz : I agree , I would say Royal Blood would be an inspiration of mine as well as Incubus . Tom : The Chilli peppers and Funk Radio are good idols to look up too , however right now 1975 is an aim of ours . To get as big as they have become in such a short period of time would be amazing . They have work extremely hard and found the right time to come forward with an great fan base , they appeals to teenage girls and most music lovers . Ike : Growing up I have always listened to the likes of Little Commits , Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen .
Where do you see yourselves in 5 years ?
Ike : Hopefully still getting along ( laughs ), with a record label . Tom : Earning good money doing something we all enjoy doing together and making a living from it . Rupert : Being able to uphold a loyal fan base would be something we hope to look forward too , we have a huge fan base in Brighton City were we have performed a few times and all our mates from school now live in Brighton so the good word is getting around . Loz : I would also say gratefully we are creeping into London , it would be good for the two different fan base came together .
