Getting Twiggy with it Johanna channels her favourite era to create a mod-licious look just in time for the Christmas party season! One of the best perks of this job has to be the chance to sit in a chair, have a glass… or two of wine and let a talented make-up artist transform you into a 60s mod girl. Oh joy! Kristi Raud worked her magic and gave us some great tips to share with you. Halloween might be over but playing dressup like this should be a monthly (at least!) thing. How to nail the Swinging 60s look: 1) First always make sure your skin is ready for make-up, not too dry or oily (wait a couple of minutes after using moisturizer). Apply foundation and powder lightly just to cover blemishes to look fresh. You can add light peach blush if you wish. 2) Obviously the Twiggy look is all about the eyes. First apply eyeshadow primer on your lids so the effect of the eye-shadow will be maximized and last longer. 3) Use a matte light shade to cover the whole lid. 4) Next up is the star of the production – the eyeliner. You can also apply white pencil to the inside of your lover lid to make the eyes seem even bigger, but this is not a must. 8) Finally use a little mascara to blend your lashes in with the false ones, put on some pale pink lip gloss and you’re ready to give Pattie Boyd and Jean Shrimpton a run for their money. 5) Now it’s time to conquer the liquid eyeliner, which is the trickiest part if you’re applying this yourself. Invest in a good eyeliner, they are worth it! The cheaper ones usually leave a messy result.
