Department of Physics hosts three
distinguished lecturers
The Department of Physics hosted three
distinguished lecturers in April 2014. The purpose
of hosting distinguished guest lecturers is to
augment COSAM’s instructional programs by
inviting speakers of distinctive scholarship and
accomplishment who would have wide appeal to
students, faculty, and staff. Guest lecturers present
an opportunity for COSAM faculty and students to
initiate new, professional associations that may lead
to future research and scholarship opportunities.
Guest lectures also provide a method of introducing
students to ways in which scientists apply their
knowledge to solving real-world problems.
