The effect sizes for the observed time-points for the ARAT and FMA-UE were in the range 0.44–0.48. Largest effect sizes were noted for the change from 3 days to 4 weeks post-stroke (0.48–0.53) for all clinical scales. The proportions of patients showing improve- ment, deterioration or no change in assessment scores are shown in Fig. 3. Table III.
