THE LIFE OF ALBERT IER

The king albert 1ste birth on 8 april 1875 in brussel. He is the son of Prince Philippe, The brother of the second king of Belgium, Leopold II
. Albert I is the fifth child of the prince Philippe and
his wife, the pricess Marie.
He get married with Elisabeth and they would have
3 childrens together, Leopold (1901-1983)(The future
King), Charles (1903-1983) and Marie-Jose (1906
-2001) Albert I became the King of the Belgian
poeple on 23december 1909, after the decease
of The previous King, Leopold II.
he king is know as the ”Knight King”. We gave him
this surnoun becous he took the command of Armed
Forces during the 1st World War and fought with
his poeple against the ennemies.
After the war, he etablish a lot of great reforms :
the universale suffrage, equality between the two
languages in the country, recognition of trade union
freedoms and the extension of social legislation. That’s why we say that he was one of the greatest King of the country, becouse he have done a lot of thing for the country and most precisly for his poeple and equality for all of the balgians poeple.
The death of Albert Ier shocked the world and he was
mourned, in Belgium and abroad. Because the king
Albert Ier was an expert climber, some questioned the
official version of his death. The rumors of murder
have been dismissed by most historians. Albert Ier
was a passionate alpinist. He died in a climbing
accident while climbing alone on the Roche du
Vieux Bon Dieu in Marche-les-Dames, in the
Ardennes region of Belgium
near Namur. The king
