It is a romance in five acts written by William Shakespeare between 1610 and 1611 .The drama, set on an island in the Mediterranean , tells the story of the exiled Prospero, the true Duke of Milan, who is plotting to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place, using illusion and magical manipulations. While his brother Antonio and his accomplice, the King of Naples Alonso are sailing the sea, return to Carthage, the magician invokes a storm, spilling the uninjured passengers on the island. Through the magic and with the help of his servant Ariel, a spirit of the air, Prospero manages to pull off the base nature of Antonio, to redeem the King and to fall in love and marry his daughter to Prince Ferdinand of Naples.
Valerio Binasco is an actor and director of the Popular Shakespeare Kompany and he has reinterpreted in his own way this novel. Tuesday, March 18th this company has starred in theater Ponchielli in Cremona. In this representation, it was noted that Binasco decided to set the story, changing clothes and language in modern times. A very important detail is that the director has decided to remove a key element: the magic book of Prospero, despite this Binasco has adhered very well to the original text
On March 19, we had an encounter with a theater company “Popular Shakespeare Kompany” ; the actors explained their things of theater and why they chose to interpret the works of shakespeare…. has been a learning experience but very funny .
