and again. Your boss will probably forgive any small
errors that you make. However, he or she will be
slower to forgive major and/or frequent mistakes.
For instance, suppose you have had a great number of
days off work, failed to develop the necessary skills,
or neglected your job training requirements. In that
kind of situation, you might start to get a bad reputation at work, and your colleagues may well develop
a negative professional opinion of you. Once the
people you work with have a bad opinion of you, it
is very difficult to persuade them to think differently.
Thus when you know you’ve really messed things up
at work, it’s probably a good idea to start looking at a
different career path.
