charity £85 Raised Raising Money for Breast Cancer Now On Friday 21st October, Earnshaws took part in a national charity event to raise money for breast cancer awareness. We joined hundreds of other companies across the UK to wear pink for the day. Our “Wear It Pink” day involved a homemade bake sale for both staff and customers to enjoy. There were dainty cupcakes, fancy jammy dodger buns, yummy chocolate cake and good old fashioned sponge cake with icing and sprinkles. We consumed an impressive amount of cake, which some also took home in a goody bag for family and friends. From the bake sale, we managed to raise an impressive amount of £85 exactly for Breast Cancer Now. Every year, Wear it Pink raises around £2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now and have raised a whopping £28.9 million to date. The aim of the charity is to ensure no one dies from breast cancer by 2050, by funding cutting-edge research. Thank you to everyone who played a part in the day, be it by wearing something pink, buying a bun or putting some money in the charity pot. Every little really does help towards this fantastic cause to combat the horrible disease that is breast cancer. Well done everyone!
