Global Education and European Teaching Strategies 2018-1-ES01-KA101-049441 After the class, we meet the Head of Studies. He informs us that the school only has 15 students per class (double that in public schools). Students take 3 hours of English from 1st to 4th and 4 hours from 5th to 9th, per week. CLIL methodology is used from 1st year and, although they aren’t still taking part in Erasmus+, they are willing to start. Curriculum is in Slovak, as mentioned before, but CLIL is an extra. The school has three lecturers (2 Canadians and one English) which help only in the linguistic part of the subject. Only one of the lecturers is employed full time (4 days per week). Apart from English, the school offers Spanish, French, Russian and German. However, due to lack of demand, only Spanish and German are offered, 2 hours per week, from 5th year. The Spanish teacher informs us that there’s no relation between the GBZA and the languages students choose (they actually don’t choose French, and most of the Spanish students go elsewhere when they choose a highschool)
