Bee
BUZZ! goes the bee
Hour after hour.
BUZZ! goes the bee
From flower to flower.
Sucking out the nectar
Flying it home.
Storing up the nectar
In the honeycomb.
BUZZ! goes the bee
Making honey so sweet.
Bee makes the honey
That I love to eat!

ROBERT AND THE BEE
Robert went to swimming lessons with his mom. Robert loved
swimming. Whenever he finished his swimming lesson, he
also got a big star sticker and a fizzer for swimming so well. His
swimming teacher always told him that he swam like a fish.
One day when Robert went to swimming, there was a bee
that kept on chasing him around the pool. When he was
swimming in the pool, the bee was there. When he got out of
the pool to jump or dive in, the bee was still there. He could
not stop this bee from following him. Eventually he stopped
and started to try and chase the bee away. The swimming
teacher told him to stand still and the bee would fly away.
Robert did not listen to his swimming teacher. He ran backwards and forwards. He waved his arm in the air and eventu-

ally the bee stung him.
Robert cried and cried. The swimming teacher sat Robert down
and took out the sting and put special cream on with a plaster.
The swimming teacher explained to Robert that the bee got
scared when he started to chase it away, so in order for the
bee to protect itself, the bee stung him. She told him that if he
would have just stood still and not moved, the bee would not
have harmed him.
The following week, the same thing happened, but this time
Robert learned his lesson. He stood very still and the bee
went away. Robert then thought to himself that bees are special creatures from Hashem, as they create delicious honey.
Robert was never scared of bees again. Instead, every Rosh
Hashanah, he thanked Hashem for making bees as he could
enjoy his delicious apples dipped in honey.
