Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein’s Shabbos Project
Initiative went global, with 65 countries and 465

GIRLS: Torah Academy Girls’ High matrics celebrated their farewell from the
school in style at a “black and white” themed dinner organised by the Grade 11
girls, at the Killarney Country Club. Principal Rebecca Sarchi presented each
girl with a beaded red rose, and the girls are eagerly awaiting their personalised
books of tehillim, which are being sent from Israel. All the girls, in turn,
addressed and thanked their teachers, while the principal spoke to the girls.

Jewish Interactive Webinar from London to Jhb
In honour of The Shabbos Project, a very special
Webinar took place, connecting the Grade 5 students at
King David Linksfield in Johannesburg with students
from years 3-6 at Mathilda Marks Kennedy Primary
School in London. Organised by Jewish Interactive, the
excitement at the Webinar (Web-seminar) was palpable.
The Webinar ended with a rousing ‘Shabbat Shalom’
from both ends of the world. All teachers, students and
organisers felt the beauty and power of the moment.
