SCENE AT… BY RACHEL FALKSON ACHUZAT SARA RAFFLE YESHIVA COLLEGE MATRIC FAREWELL Judy Moritz hosted the annual R100 raffle in aid of the children at Achuzat Sara Children’s Home, in B’nai Brak, at her home in Houghton. Guests were treated to a delicious tea followed by a fascinating talk, by Rebbetzin Sarah Bernstein, on the deeper meanings of the festival of Sukkos. The Yeshiva College Matric Farewell was held at the HOD, with a Masquerade Ball as the theme. Principal Denise Bloch addressed each matric student, thanking them for their contributions as Yeshiva soon-tobe graduates, and wishing them all the best in their final examinations. Mothers and grandmothers were invited to bake challah with their children for Shabbos. They each received a small gift and the girls showed the ladies how to braid, and prepare, the challah for baking (pictured). The beautiful challahs were baked and used at Sandringham Gardens on Shabbos.
