ACHUZAT SARA RAFFLE
YESHIVA COLLEGE MATRIC FAREWELL
Judy Moritz hosted the annual R100 raffle in aid of
the children at Achuzat Sara Children’s Home, in B’nai
Brak, at her home in Houghton. Guests were treated to a
delicious tea followed by a fascinating talk, by Rebbetzin
Sarah Bernstein, on the deeper meanings of the festival
of Sukkos.
The Yeshiva College Matric Farewell was held at the HOD, with a
Masquerade Ball as the theme. Principal Denise Bloch addressed each
matric student, thanking them for their contributions as Yeshiva soon-tobe graduates, and wishing them all the best in their final examinations.

CHALLAH BAKE AT SANDRINGHAM GARDENS
About 50 Yeshiva College High School girls
treated delighted Sandringham Gardens’
residents to a challah bake on the Thursday
before The Shabbos Project. They each
received a small gift and the girls showed the
ladies how to braid, and prepare, the challah
for baking (pictured). The beautiful challahs
were baked and used at Sandringham
Gardens on Shabbos. The experience was
very meaningful, because for some of the
residents, this was the very first time they
had ever made or shaped challah.
