Haggada, first
published in
North Germany
c 1300 – and

collection of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. With

Exodus from Egypt, the preparations of the Passover
festival and the Seder rituals. The human figures
appear with birds’ heads and beaks, and the pointed
hats German Jews were required to wear by a 1215
