SPREADING THE LIGHT WITH DL LINK

The DL link provides nurturing for siblings
of our patients, when the attention often
gets turned away from them and towards
the patient. An important aspect of the DL
Link is that it wants to bring joy back into
the patient’s hearts and give them life experiences that they will treasure.
On Sunday 28 June, DL Link offered the
speed junkies a ride in a Ferrari, Porsche or
Lamborghini. The blessing of the DL Link
is that although the patients’ care and nurturing is always the organisation’s primary
concern, the DL Link receives ongoing letters of praise and thanks from volunteers,
sponsors and staff who feel so uplifted and
inspired by the organisation.
One of the very generous volunteers,
Michael Salomon, who offered his sports
cars for this event, commented: “Please
continue to involve me in your amazing
efforts. I feel that my entire life’s journey
was just for this moment, when I could
share my cars with the kids!”

The DL Link, in keeping with its everpresent theme of hope and light – invites
all women of Jozi to a rooftop cheese and
wine event: ‘The beating of hearts’.
The aim of this event is to carry forward what we are taught: “When women
unite with great joy, drums and dance –
the world will change.”
We all feel the darkness of the world,
but it’s time to step forward and be the
light – the time is now!
