HOW TO USE GUAR GUM
Guar gum is used in gluten-free cooking to bind, thicken and emulsify glutenfree ingredients. If you don’t add gum to most of your gluten-free baked
goods, they will likely end up as a pile of crumbs! Guar gum comes from the
seed of a bean-like plant. It is high in soluble fibre.
BAKING GUIDELINES:
• BREAD AND PIZZA DOUGH RECIPES: Add 1 teaspoon guar gum per cup
of gluten-free flour used in bread and pizza dough recipes.
