year with an in-depth look at the Israeli elections. Esteemed Israeli
Embassy Deputy Ambassador Michael Freeman explained the origin
of the main political parties, connecting them to the history of Israel
when it was a fledgling state.
Natan Sharansky plays chess
at Yeshiva College
During a visit to Yeshiva College, chairman of the Jewish
Agency Natan Sharansky spoke about his life in Soviet
Russia and subsequent imprisonment prior to making
aliyah. After his presentation, Yeshiva
College student, Shmuel Dovid
Goldberg, who has represented South
Africa in The World Youth Chess
Championships, had the opportunity
to play chess against Sharansky, using
the life-size YC chess board.

Hatzolah CPR courses with Minnie Behrson
Nursery School
Minnie Bersohn Nursery School organised first aid courses with Hatzolah
for teachers, parents and domestic workers. The skills gained from these
courses are invaluable. Each person was equipped with the knowledge to
save lives. The courses were held at the Hatzolah headquarters.
