Brooches: Slate, treated mild steel, precious
white metal, precious yellow metal, enamel.
Holly recently graduated in Jewellery Design
at Central Saint Martins. Her aim is to give
priority to the overlooked, utilitarian or
mundane, and in particular to elements
that remain from a practical task. The
minimal and finely detailed brooches of
slate, steel and precious metals from her
graduate collection reflect her observations
of excess layers of decomposing posters
and fragmented signs on walls. Deceptive,
playful and engaging, the jewellery aims to
still a moment between a purposeful action
and it’s lasting remains.

I am a contemporary art jeweller and have
just completed my degree in Jewellery &
Silversmithing at Plymouth College of Art. I
work predominantly with precious metals and
gemstones using traditional bench techniques. I
design and create conceptual pieces of jewellery
that explore my interests of the natural, historical
and fantasy worlds.

For this collection, husband and wife design duo, Vincent Tynan
and Julie Danz, like Star Wars’ creator George Lucas, were inspired
by thier trip to the famous stargazing spot in Ballinskelligs, County
Kerry.
Constantly inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of natural
elements, Juvi Designs source the most beautiful gemstones from
around the world and transform them into stunning pieces of
stunning jewellery at their studio in Dublin. Using precious and
semi-precious stones such as aquamarine, turquoise and amethyst
set in sterling silver and gold vermeil, the pair create jewellery that is
stunning yet practical enough to be worn every day.
