Bourse president Alan Cohen credited McKay with playing a key role in positioning the LDB as a progressive bourse worldwide transforming the “inwardly focused private members club into a respected professional trade association with a global profile”. McKay will remain in the short term to short term to complete ongoing projects, such as moving the exchange to its new location, after which she will work as a consultant to assist with managing the launch. Cohen said: “On behalf of the Council of Management, I would like to thank [Victoria] for many significant achievements; not least the past three years of all-consuming work while she headed our team to find a new suitable home for the LDB. The trade will never know just what a mammoth task this has been. “Again, we cannot thank Victoria enough for the dedication, passion and enthusiasm she has given to our organisation and, we wish her very best of luck in her exciting new chapter.” Stacey Aylott will take over the reins of the day to day running of the bourse, and has been promoted from executive assistant to operations manager. Independent financial consulting company St David’s Partnership has launched Daniel Wellington’s first standalone UK store outside of London. The new 430 sq ft store in located at St David’s, Cardiff and it offers an assortment of the brand’s classic accessories including classic cuffs and interchangeable watch straps in NATO, mesh and leather in addition to signature watches for men and women. St David’s Partnership, which is a joint venture between Landsec and Intu, was advised by JLL and Cushman and Wakefield while Stephen Kane and Company represented Daniel Wellington. The launch of the regional icon store follows the opening of international fashion brand Stradivarius in its first Welsh store earlier this year. Colin Flinn, regional managing director - west at Intu, said: “The arrival of Daniel Wellington is a clear signal that St David’s is one of the UK’s premium retail destinations. Situated on Middlesbrough’s high street the store has re-opened its doors showcasing a new ‘contemporary look’ and extension of a 33 sq m branded Rolex space. The main showroom of 106 sq m, features a selection of brands including Gucci, Tissot and Rado alongside Rolex timepieces. Craig Bolton, Goldsmiths executive director, said: “We are pleased to officially open our newly-refurbished Middlesbrough showroom and the expansion of our premium offering here with the introduction of the branded Rolex area. “As one of Teesside’s main shopping districts, we felt this was a great opportunity to augment our in-store experience and hope our valued customer base in the region enjoy coming to us even more.” Goldsmiths Middlesbrough manager Brian Shute added: “We are all really excited for this next chapter for our showroom and to take business forward with a brand new look.
