MONTH IN REVIEW www.jewelleryfocus.co.uk START: THE MONTH’S NEWS BEGAN HERE NEW RELEASES Elliot Brown releases new neon watch strap collection Watch brand Elliot Brown has released a new collection of neon straps as it looks ahead to spring. The Poole-based watch specialists have combined their passion for making durable, weather-proof watches with a variety of vibrant new colours. Made from EPDM rubber, the new straps are hypoallergenic and are not sticky like their silicone counterparts. Elliot Brown describes the new straps as “perfect for watersport lovers as they are resistant to seawater and won’t disintegrate from UV ray damage”. Co-founder Ian Elliot, commenting on the collection, said: “We needed a practical rubber strap that performs effortlessly, just like our watches. They’re laden with the kind of gorgeous detailing we’re renowned for including a lovely local story involving the breather lines cut into the back that are hand drawn contours from a favourite coastal spot. “The 3D profile of the strap perfectly moulds to fit up against the watch case. The edges of the strap slope at 45 degrees from the shoulder of the watch all the way to the tip, resulting in a soft silhouette against the wrist and an incredibly strong strap. It’s also easier to slide under a cuff without getting it snagged.” The new straps include design features such as a buckle that was redesigned four times, and is secured to the strap with a screw-in pin, not the traditional spring-bar. 6 JEWELLERY FOCUS 1 2 PARTNERSHIP Raymond Weil celebrates partnership with The Brit Awards 2018 Luxury Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil celebrated its association with The 2018 Brit Awards with MasterCard, at last night’s ceremony held at the O2 Arena.
