Javea Grapevine Issue No. 170 - 2014 - Page 32

32 | The Grapevine Issue 170 2014 SIDNEY Male, Shelter since 31.12.2011 Crossbreed, DOB 15.11.2010 52 cm What a bad luck! After being in the pound for a while, people adopted him, although we told them that Sidney was a very active dog who would need some training. After not even a week, he was back again as he indeed was too active, did not listen to commands and climbed over the fence. Without even trying to train him, they brought the poor dog back. He is now totally confused and unhappy. If you are willing to give him a home, train him (he likes to work with people and is so young), and want to keep him for longer than a week...please come to the pound. We are more than happy to tell you more about Sidney and give you training advice. Sidney walks very well on the lead and is a good and social boy. Apasa was founded 15 yrs ago by a group of Spanish, English and Germans. It started from humble beginnings: a few concrete kennels and no fencing, but over the years it has grown so much and we now have upwards of 200 dogs, we also have quarantine kennels for when new or sick dogs are bought in. We work with the town hall and the police in collecting dogs that have been lost or abandoned. We need the support of our members and all the fundraising events to keep us going. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
