Xàbia’s Local Police have launched
a new unit the UCE (Special Tasks
Unit), to increase awareness in all
the urbanisations, and rural and
marine locations.
It is an initiative that has been
developed by Pepa Gisbert, the
Councillor for Security, and
through it the presence of police
officers will increase throughout
the municipality, with the ability
for rapid intervention whenever
necessary.
This is an important improvement
for all of us and we are sure that
this will enable Xàbia to continue
to lead in the ranking as one of the
safest towns in Spain.
On the 1st of February, I had the
pleasure of meeting the British
ambassador, Simon Manley, and
the Consul Sarah-Jane Morrison,
at the Town Hall.
Together, we spoke about
the importance of the British
community and discussed those
areas where we can improve the
quality of care and services.
