Xàbia tries to stop the plague
of Tomicus in Granadella
The municipal forest teams are cutting down pines in the area of Granadella to try reduce and curb the spread of "Tomicus" a boring insect
which can weaken dry pines in a few days that has already damaged the
forest on the Montgó. The lack of rain and high temperatures all winter
have weakened the pine forests and facilitated the spread of this insect.
