Furthermore,
we
have
set a target to make the
consolidation of the economic
recovery a reality, and reach
out to those most in need.
For this we will develop
a new plan to create local
employment,
providing
entrepreneurs with the tools
to provide training.
We will provide facilities for
companies to develop their
activities in Xàbia, and for the
universities to offer new postgraduate courses here.
We will implement new
initiatives for tourism, our
great development motor, so
that it is not limited only to
the summer months.

Tourism, I can announce
that our town is working to
position itself as one of the top
diving destinations around the
Mediterranean.
On the other hand, we
want Xàbia to continue as
the town which we know,
whose greatest values are its
natural heritage and cultural
identity. Growth has to come
in a sustainable manner and
respect our identity and we
will do our best to ensure it
does so.
We cannot forget the tens
of thousands of people who
come to visit us each year, and
all those who decide to remain
and live with us who are
attracted by the environment
and specific life style.
Also 2016 should be the year
of the small things.
Every
street,
every
urbanisation and every district
is equally important to us.
Perhaps a clean sidewalk, a
newly paved road or effective
Social Services, news which
does not hit the newspaper
headlines, but these are the
key to making things work.
