On Saturday the 19th all of the
Municipal Mercat de Xàbia
welcomed the end of the first
competition of the children's
event
"Mercatchef
Junior".
The nine girls selected courses
every weekend, develop ing them
within the Market Hall facilities
to participate in this final. Supervised by Chef Nazario Cano (El
Rodat), the final challenged competitors to reinterpret traditional
muffins. The winning proposal
was from Yana Antipova, closely followed by Nuria Salvador and Maria Mateo. Prizes are
vouchers of 50, 30 and 15 euros
redeemable for shopping in the
Mercat. Attending the final with
the public were the mayor, José
Chulvi, Mercat Councillor Tere
Bisquert and the guest chefs from
the previous events, Alberto
Ferruz (Bon Amb), Juan Vicente
Mas (Different) and David Ariza
(Free Land Cook).
