Freesat also offers recording receivers. Whereas on a
Sky+HD receiver you require a Sky subscription to use
the recording functions, Freesat offers subscription free
recording.
With two cable feeds from the satellite dish, you can
watch one channel and re cord another at the same time.
Freesat also offers access to the Catch-up services like
BBC IPlayer and ITV Player. However, to use these
services in Spain, you will require a subscription to a
VPN or SmartDNS service that provides you with a UK
Internet IP Address, making it look as if you are using the
internet in the UK and not Spain.
If you do not have one of these UK IP address services,
then the content will be blocked as the services will see
that you are trying to use them outside the UK.
Freesat HD systems can be installed from as little as
€400. That is a one off payment for a satellite dish and
a Freesat HD receiver to legally receive the main UK TV
channels direct from the broadcasters.
Something to consider if you are currently paying a
monthly charge for your BBC and ITV channels on a
