I was also present at the gala of the Marina Alta business community
when the president Sonja Dietz, retired.
I’ve also been doing something that I really enjoy, visiting schools and
sharing the activities of our younger people.
During the month I had question and answer sessions with the pupils
of Colegio del Arenal, Marìa Inmaculada and Xàbia International
College.
I was also present at the spectacular Batukada organised by the
children of our town.
Presenting trophies for the Fishing Championship, the Business
Women’s charity events, and many more....
Public safety is such an important issue; I maintain constant contact
with the head of the local police.
The plenary session of the Town Hall on March 10th was one of the
most difficult and heart-breaking which I have experienced; I convened
an extraordinary session to condemn the murder of a young woman
at the hands of her husband.
At this session I read out a manifesto in support of the family of the
woman, her children, and against violence; especially that perpetrated
against women.
Participating in fiestas and cultural events is also a regular activity for
me.
The Palm Sunday Procession, Holy Week events, the presentation of
books, the opening of the craft fair, etc ...
