The Coalition of XD and CpJ have
finalised their list for the Municipal
elections on May 24th with seven expat women in the line-up. Many well
known in the community. The expat representation is led by Amanda Dean NO 4 on the list. A former
Jávea councillor she has worked as
deputy head teacher of Xàbia International College and has taught for
22 years on the International scene.
She worked energetically for environmental protection and cultural
integration and set up a pioneering
project of cultural and linguistic exchanges between the International College and the local secondary
school. Amanda has lived in Javea
for some fifteen years and served
on the Town Council for six years
before stepping down in 2009 for
personal reasons. She had special
responsibility for the implementing
the Agenda 21 programme as well as
being responsible for environmental
protection and Citizen Participation
Amanda is also a music lover and
has performed professionally as a
singer and actress for some years.
Yvonne Henry No 9 is the familiar face of the Help Desk for just over

arrived in Jávea in November 1980
She has held numerous jobs which
her experience in problem solving
