Hit n Run
Hit n Run tells the story of what
can happen when lives collide.
An accident has spiralling consequences that change the life of
the victim and everyone around
him forever. This insightful book
shows the world through the eyes
of the two people closest to the
victim, his wife and his friend. It
is about how they face the moral and immoral dilemmas that life
throws at them. Simon and Jenny
Coleridge are young, married and
comfortable. Then, in a split second, their world shifts. Simon’s
accident doesn’t just change him
physically, it changes his relationships. Extrovert Simon’s passion
for exercise is challenged by life in
a wheel chair. Sweet, quiet Jenny
too has to face up to life-changing
decisions as well as the trauma of
trying to cope. What was it that Sir
Walter Scott said? “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we
practice to deceive.”

Brian Orgill and his wife moved to
Parcent in the Jalon Valley in 2010.
His first novel Hit ‘n’ Run was published in August 2014. Speaking
of his inspiration, Brian said, “The
nub of inspiration came from a
1980’s film Called Who’s Life Is It
Anyway? starring a young Richard Dreyfus. The nub was stored
away in my brain for over twenty
years, then in 2001 having been
made redundant, and having been
supplied with a free computer via
a Labour government scheme for
those on Benefit, I decided to ‘give
it a go’. The M. S. was sent several London agents who all rejected
it. Disillusioned I shoved it away in
a drawer and more or less forgot
about it, although I did produce a
screen-play version.”
Finally in 2011, Brian revisited his
manuscript and began the slow
process of editing and developing
his book after it was selected for
publication by U P Publications
on Kindle and as a paperback.
