Restaurante LA BOHÈME (Jávea,
Arenal beach front) : This restaurant
is now the best of the French styled/
owner restaurants on the Arenal
beach front (Los Remos de la Nao
& La Perla are two others). Fine
tapas, superb steaks. Menu del
dia €16.95. Consistently excellent
reports throughout the summer but
comments say this is an expensive
place (revealed, perhaps, by the
excellent refurbishment). Parador

Restaurante LE GOURMAND
Carretera Jesús Pobre 202. It
is well over a year since Le
Gourmand moved to their new
premises and it has very clearly
established itself in the affections
of the community as one of the very
best restaurants in the area. We
have organised two group lunches
there – a success with everyone
! Away from the Arenal beach
they now flourish and are admired
amongst serious eaters. Booking
essential ! For summer there is a
large (mostly muzak-free) covered
area in the garden. Occasional
jazz evenings during spring/
summer and a Jazz Lunch for
