Javea Grapevine Issue 174 - 2015 | Page 95

Apasa was founded 15 yrs ago by a group of Spanish, English and Germans. It started from humble beginnings: a few concrete kennels and no fencing, but over the years it has grown so much and we now have upwards of 200 dogs, we also have quarantine kennels for when new or sick dogs are bought in. We work with the town hall and the police in collecting dogs that have been lost or abandoned. We need the support of our members and all the fundraising events to keep us going. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. Jávea Grapevine February 2015| Batido male, Shelter since 20.12.2011 Labrador Mix DOB 15.06.2011 42 cm He was found running in the middle of the road and very confused. One of our volunteers stopped the traffic and took him with her. An hour later his brother was found in the same street, looking exactly the same, but brown instead of black. They were so happy to be reunited. Batido is so young that he would adapt quickly to a new situation, family and other pets. He has a lovely character and should be easy to handle.
