| Jávea Grapevine February 2015 Satellite & TV News The third and final new UK TV satellite was launched late December 2014. No exact date as to when it will be operational, but some expect it to be before summer. Despite what you may have heard, this new satellite should actually improve reception of some Sky pay TV channels, especially those which can be hard to receive around mid afternoon. Satellite dish installations for UK TV in Javea Reception of UK TV by satellite TV in the Javea area has never been better. You no longer need the large 1.8m and 2.4m satellite dishes that have had to be used for the last 10 - 15 years to receive channels like BBC ITV Channel 4 and Five. Now, due to new UK TV satellites, a satellite dish measuring 100x110cm can receive these channels. This sized dish is the very minimum for stable reception. Ideally the larger 125x135cm satellite dish is what we would recommend for the Javea area, as it gives a bit more stability in signal. We have tested other satellite dishes of this size and found the satellite dishes we supply and install to be the best performer for its size, price and build quality. Along with a high performing LNB, and high quality copper coaxial cabling, we ensure our installations use the best equipment for the best signal for your viewing requirements. Jon Worby As BBC ITV Channel 4 and Fives are all free to air via satellite, they require no subscription or viewing card to view. This means that with a Freesat receiver, you can watch the main UK TV channels subscription free. With a Freesat HD receiver, you can also enjoy 11 subscription free HD TV channels, including BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, BBC Three HD, BBC Four HD, ITV1HD, and Channel 4HD. As these channels come direct from the broadcasters via satellite, and not via a third party cable, rebroadcast or internet system, you can really use your HD TV to the full with 1080 resolution and Dolby Digital sound. With a Freesat+HD receiver, you can record directly to the built in hard drive, watch one channel whilst recording another, and pause live TV, with no subscription, all through the simple easy to use programme guide. The standard installation of a 125x135cm satellite dish, with a single output high performance LNB, a wall bracket or floor stand and a single cable run can be supplied and installed from 275euros. Add a Freesat HD receiver for 125 euros. Until next time, happy viewing.
