“Aims - The Wintersun series aims to present the district of Marina Alta attractive to tourism. We want to demonstrate, through a good story fiction, that we are much more than sun and sand. We support eight municipalities (including those of the major tourist powers in the region: Denia, Javea, Calpe and Teulada-Moraira) and companies like Beer Damm. We also have the support of Balearia, which allows us not only to connect the Marina Alta with the Balearic Islands in our history, but also have its broadcast networks and with their boats as emission point of the series. One point in favour of the project is precisely this total involvement of the public sector and private with the series. Marina Alta has decided to participate in it and for us represents the opportunity to demonstrate that cultural industries can support the productive sector for our Region and become a real support in creating opportunities. Applying a real branded content strategy works for a company or placing a product for an entire region. Wintersun - The title refers to what happens outside of the summer months. During July & August Marina Alta receives almost two million tourists, mainly British and Spanish. But what about the rest of the year? We are ready to prove that the extraordinary still happens after September 15, when the last low cost plane has departed and things resume their usual pace. Wintersun was recorded in Castilian, Valencian and English as one of its objectives is to reach the British public. Our region is already a prestigious international destination (43% of its 200,000 inhabitants are foreigners with a preponderance of British), but we / you can still do more and, above all, to do better. The cast includes experience actors from the world of television, theatre and film - well known to the Valencian public. The technical team of more than 30 people, has brought together top professionals and teams. From the district of Marina Alta more than 200 people were involved in the production, including extras and volunteers. At the moment the team has recorded a first season of 5 episodes that will air on www.soldeinvierno.net and www.thewintersun.co.uk as well as channels of Youtube and Vimeo and Social media Already tsteps have been taken to secure funding to record another Wintersun season. We believe that our goals are only feasible if the project is kept fresh. https://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=ajho1gHieP8 https://www.youtube.com/user/ soldeinviernomarina/videos http://www.soldeinvierno.net/ https://www.facebook.com/soldeinviernolamarina https://twitter.com/soldeinvierno1 Marina Alta See that puntita protruding east on the peninsula?
