Once again we begin a new
year, and for me it is always
a pleasure to communicate
with you from the pages of
the Grapevine.

Dear Friends,
January was a busy month, much work, meetings, fiestas and cultural
events that I will summarize. After finishing the old year surrounded by
my family and friends, on January 5th business resumed at the Town Hall
with a meeting with the municipal collector, to arrange an extension until
January 16th for citizens to register for the payment of their taxes, so that
more people would be eligible for the maximum discount.
That same day I had the honour of welcoming the three Kings from the
East, who visit Xàbia every year to leave gifts for the little ones and for
those who are not so little. I spent that night with my family and it appears
that I must have behaved well last year, because the King Melchior left
me plenty of gifts.
