the government team
measures to carry out
on tourist rentals

The Popular Party of Xàbia again
warns that the new Law of Tourism,
Leisure and Hospitality of the
Valencian Community (Law 15/2018,
of June 7), which regulates the
promotion and management of the
tourist activity of the Region “needs
an immediate solution.”
The entry into force of this Valencian
law has generated a problem in
Xàbia because it is poorly prepared
and therefore, “we urge the socialist
governments of Chulvi and Puig, to
solve the disaster caused.”
The generator of all the controversy
is in the requirement of a municipal
report of urban compatibility that
allows the use of tourist rentals in
the houses, since the use of tourist
housing does not come within the
urban planning uses that reflect the
different planning of the Valencian
Community. This causes that the
municipal technicians have to inform
of a use that, as such, does not exist in
the general urban planning plans of
the Valencian municipalities, having
innovated with said tourist law.
The popular Xàbia in its meeting
with those affected by the problem
