Javea Bridge Club ’ s annual Summer Pairs always attracts a diverse range of players and the turnout this year ’ s event was fairly typical with many nationalities represented and players from Valencia and Madrid joining those from nearby .
President Maria Noone was especially pleased by the increased number of local players taking part this year . This year , the competition was held over the weekend of 18 and 19 August and sponsored by Scottsdale Financial Advisers .
The club was pleased to welcome Debbie from Scottsdale to present the prizes when the scores had been combined at the end of play on Sunday .
Overall winners were Brian & Gabrielle , with Gloria & Carmina
