Dr. Fleming and Marina Española;
but the faults in the street lights are
apparent on a daily basis through the
whole town, one day in Avenida la
Fontana, another day in the Carretera
del Pla, in the urbanisations ...
It is indisputable that all public
places must have an efficient street
lighting service, and that for this the
residents pay the corresponding taxes
and fees.
Only in cases of emergency could
some cuts to the service be ju stified,
but these are always programmed by
the supplier: this is not the situation
in Xàbia.
In recent months the feelings of
insecurity have been increasing and
people don’t like walking in these
areas without lighting at night, in
addition there are obvious risks
regarding road safety and we have
to consider the image presented to
visitors who decide to spend their
holidays in Jávea.
The Popular Party, once again,
joins the affected citizens in asking
the current local government team
to make huge efforts to ensure the
availability of an efficient supply,
and to demand a firm commitment,
from PSOE, to manage our resources
- those of Xàbia - with dignity.
