The event as been organised by the Mare de Déu de Loreto Festival Commission since 1996 with the sponsorship of the City Council, and this year, Saturday, July 28, had the collaboration of CaixaBank (Fundación La Caixa) and of the Costa Blanca Tourist Board. This original initiative received in 2002 the National Festival of Tourist Interest award. This year the location was changed, celebrated in the avenue of Lepanto, where steps were installed, estimated attendance in a thousand people, being the free and free entry. As usual from the beginning, in the prolegomena to the representation, José Chulvi, mayor of Xàbia, and Vicente Gavilà, president of the organizing committee, presented commemorative plaques to schoolgirl Iris Cholbi Chrysostom (selected after her brilliant result in the Fogueres de Sant Joan Tournament), which led the black side, and Javier Gomis, delegate in Alicante of AEPAE (Spanish Association for the Prevention of Bullying (AEPAE), Guest of Honor this year, which did the same with the side of the white ones (At the entrances to the enclosure stands were arranged to receive donations for AEPAE). Alice in Wonderland was represented, updated to the twenty-first century with the theme of school bullying as a guiding thread, in adaptation for living theatrical chess written by Raquel Violero and Hector Cruañes, who also led the stage direction. His libretto, approached with an iron script that linked stagings, dialogues, narration texts, dance, indications of lighting, special effects, public address and live music (with the added difficulty of the age of the extras), and combining an original argument
