1. Mosquito larvae live in water, they wriggle up to the surface to breathe. If you
can clog up the surface of the water they can’t breathe. Use a food safe vegetable
oil in all your plant saucers then it will do no harm to birds and pets if they drink
it.
2. Look at all packaging with a fresh view to re use it. Plastic lids can be used to
cover food instead of cling film. A carrier can be made from the bag that the toilet
rolls come in, cut the opening underneath the carrying handle. The box that the
milk cartons come in makes a very strong carrying box, open carefully leaving
the handle in place.
3. Use the backs of cereal boxes, tissue boxes and greeting cards to make
lists.
P.S. List making frees your mind from “Mustitis”.........must
remember to do, this, that, buy, call.......
4. To clean hair brushes, use an old fork to remove hair, fluff and fur.
Follow with an old toothbrush and washing up liquid to clean
in between the bristles.
5. Use fresh herbs in whole lengths for cooking, the little
leaves will fall off and all you have to do is remember how
many stalks you have to find before you serve the dish .
